They oversee all manner of operations including but not limited to teammate development, quality assurance, event execution, scheduling, ordering, inventory, facilities maintenance, production, and most importantly supporting the team’s & guest’s experience.

The Theater Manager position is an integral part of the management team and is responsible for planning and organization as well as providing leadership to our staff members. Key responsibilities include staff development and retention, cost adherence, building sales, financial results, excellent guest service and a positive “can do” attitude. The Theater Manager is a brand representative for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas and is responsible for upholding the company goals, visions and mission statement at all times while ensuring our standards of quality and service to the staff and patrons.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining company standards in regard to our buildings' upkeep, cleanliness, and functional repair. They also recommend improvements to the theaters in their region based on their assessments and cooperation with venue management teams. This includes building/grounds maintenance, environmental/safety regulation compliance, food & beverage production equipment, and the general maintenance and appearance of all areas of the building.
From both a guest and staff perspective, the building, furnishings, and equipment need to meet world-class standards. They are a champion of amazing facilities, a problem solver, and a relationship builder with both our Alamo teams as well as our community of vendor partners. Never settling for less than excellence is the baseline behavior of success in this role.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage simultaneous maintenance projects for assigned company-owned locations utilizing Alamo’s CMMS - update project statuses and bring projects to full resolution
Manage relationships and coordinate workflow with appropriate vendors
Manage day-to-day work orders through our CMMS program - prioritize and communicate thoroughly to all stakeholders
Develop training materials in partnership with Operations and Training teams
Partner with Operations to maintain and improve the presentation of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities with a focus on teammate and guest safety
Assess and report back opportunities for facility improvements to Facilities leadership to continue to improve operational execution and the state of equipment
Maintain knowledge of current local and state safety codes
Develop a preventative maintenance calendar inclusive of proactive reviews and routine inspections to ensure equipment is meeting brand standards
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance position in a multi-unit and multi-state concept
Strong knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen Equipment, Refrigeration including Ice Machines, Carpentry, General Maintenance
3+ years of experience working with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Excel
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 20 pounds

The ideal candidate will build upon their existing community knowledge and relationships to entrench the theater into the fabric of the community and make it the primary destination for film, food, and fun.
Our marketing approach can often be inventive and unorthodox, featuring movie-themed food and drink specials, unique events, and celebrity Q&As. The successful candidate must be able to communicate the passion we feel for these movies while maintaining a sense of playfulness that celebrates film and pop culture.
Equally important is the ability to hit the revenue goals set for the venue. This role requires a mix of both right brain and left brain. Being able to develop creative campaigns and events, while managing to a budget and reaching and exceeding sales goals are all essential to success in this role.
