Job Description

Alamo Drafthouse is seeking an insightful and experienced marketing specialist to manage and execute local marketing initiatives for our local cinema(s). The ideal candidate will build upon their existing community knowledge and relationships to entrench the theater into the fabric of the community and make it the primary destination for film, food, and fun.

Our marketing approach can often be inventive and unorthodox, featuring movie-themed food and drink specials, unique events, and celebrity Q&As. The successful candidate must be able to communicate the passion we feel for these movies while maintaining a sense of playfulness that celebrates film and pop culture.

Equally important is the ability to hit the revenue goals set for the venue. This role requires a mix of both right brain and left brain. Being able to develop creative campaigns and events, while managing to a budget and reaching and exceeding sales goals are all essential to success in this role.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 Plus Incentive Bonus based on Performance

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Develops and leads co-marketing programs and partnerships for Alamo Drafthouse Naples and Happyland Mini Golf Bar

  • Coordinates with our national Film Content team to develop local recurring programming series that appeal to various target audiences within the Naples community   

  • Creates and manages content to engage with the Naples community via social and editorial blogs 

  • Grows the Naples social following and email subscriber lists 

  • Create, organize, and manage a structured plan for venue marketing activities; collaborate with the broader field marketing team and venue leadership to ensure local marketing promotions, community partnerships, and events are executed on time and on brand

  • Develop a deep understanding of the venue’s community and audience; provide data-backed actionable insights on a regular basis for regional marketing, sales, and programming to adjust future strategies based on experimentation and subsequent learnings

  • Use data to evaluate the success of local marketing initiatives and partnerships

  • Performance is measured as the overall performance of the venue meeting budget expectations and goals  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • As an imaginative thinker, you love making connections and engaging with guests both in-theater and online to provide the best possible experience

  • 4+ years experience in marketing community management; experience in the entertainment, film or media industry a plus

  • Experience living in and engaging with Naples Florida communities is a must

  • A massive movie fan with a deep love for the movie going experience

  • The ability to engage a consumer audience across multiple platforms, including organic social media, review and listing platforms, influencers, and earned media

  • Strong collaborator with the ability to work across the organization to develop ideas from outside your team and refine them into effective local marketing initiatives

  • Incredibly organized, with attention to detail, and a disdain for missed expectations

  • Able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a very fast-paced environment; able to react quickly to a changing landscape

  • Computer skills adaptability; proficient with Google; ability to learn new software tools including project management systems

  • Currently located in Naples area only; ability to work from the venue with a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends as needed

  • Experience working with the Mercato shopping center a bonus

  • Monitors and responds to guest feedback and questions on review sites and social media

  • Oversees event production and execution for public community events in and outside of the theater, including Happyland bar, mini golf course and Alamo Drafthouse cinema  

  • Accountable for driving butts in seats to all screening and events hosted at the Naples venue - monitoring fill rates, coordinating additional media support required by Marketing Communication team and meeting or exceeding all ticket sales expectations 

  • Holds a strong presence within Naples community - hosts events inside and outside of the venue

  • Develops and manages local media and Influencer relationships

  • Manages all marketing materials, theater displays and merch inventory and sales for the Naple venue 

  • Coordinates with Events team to book photographers and event hosts
