Most companies would call this an HR Business Partner, but here at Alamo, it’s all about the PEOPLE! The People Business Partner is the first point of contact for all employee relations escalations while also being responsible for aligning business objectives with teammates and leadership in our venues and Support Center. The position nurtures and formulates partnerships across the Alamo population to deliver people-focused service to all teammates that reflect the business objectives of Alamo. The People Business Partner maintains an effective level of business acumen aligned with Alamo’s strategic plans, culture, and Core Values.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and an advisor for both venue and Support Center teammates.

LOCATIONS: Candidates should be located in or within commuting distance of the following:

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports Venue and Support Center by engaging and partnering with all complex Teammate Relation issues, investigations, inquiries, concerns/questions, and provides guidance when appropriate
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance and support - coaching & counseling, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and career development
  • Works closely with leaders to improve working relationships, and morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Identifies and analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the leaders to develop solutions, procedures, and policies
  • Interprets, develops, and launches appropriate Alamo policies based on organizational needs, direction, and/or federal, state, and local guidance of regulations
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of multi-state legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of teammates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal counsel as needed/required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field
  • At least 3 years of progressive Human Resources knowledge and experience resolving complex employee relations issues in fast-paced restaurant and/or hospitality industry.
  • Experience working in a multi-unit, multi-state environment required (Currently located in CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MN, NY, NC, TX)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent priority and time management practices, with the ability to be extremely detailed
  • Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and has the ability to interpret and apply as appropriate, seeking outside counsel when needed
